Soccer
It is a team sport played between two sets of eleven players each and some referees that ensure that the rules are met correctly. It is widely considered the most popular sport in the world, as practiced by some 270 million people. It is also known as football association or soccer association, name derived from The Football Association, first official federation of the world in this sport and who used that name to distinguish it from other sports that include the word "soccer" or "football
Duration of the match
According to the rules of football, each game is played in two periods of 45 minutes. Changes of duration of each period are taken before the start of the match. As we have seen, between both periods a rest is kept between 10 and 15 minutes.

Starting and resuming the game
The captains of the game meet with the referee to decide which side of the court they will play. They draw it with a coin, the winner chooses the side.

Ball in play or out of play
The rules of soccer indicate that the ball will be considered out of play when it completely crosses the boundaries of the ground by air or by land, or; that the referee interrupts the game.

Goal scored
The rules of football are very clear in denouncing a goal scored: when a ball crosses the finish line completely between the vertical posts and below the goal crossbar.

Offside
Offside is not an offense per se and can not be sanctioned. Offside occurs when a teammate passes to another player and he is: a) closer to the goal line than the ball, b) closer to the opponent's goal line than the next-to-last opponent, c ) is in the middle of the opposing team's field and d) the pass received does not come from a goal, corner or corner kick.

Fouls
The free throw is given to the opposing team when the player commits a reckless infraction or excessive force such as: kicking the opponent, putting or trying to trip the opponent, jump on an opponent, charge against another player, hit or try hit the other, push. Yellow and red card

Free shot
Free throws are direct and indirect. For the free ball must touch with the foot while the first is free and this player can not touch the ball again before another has done. The adversaries must be about 9 meters away.

Penalty kick or penalty
According to the rules of football, the penalty kick is scored when a player commits infringement worthy of a direct free kick in his own penalty area. It will be executed by a player of the opposing team.

Serves
There are, as indicated by the rules of football, kick-off, goal kick and corner kick serve to resume the game from different places on the court as the names of the serves indicate.
